Who we are drives what we do

Born out of a mutual passion for food…(and a touch of nostalgia), we formed a small company to support a growing trend of eating “real”, “clean label” foods. We’re excited to launch our own range of traditional cured dried meats. Using 100% Canadian Beef and 100% South African recipes we are combining the best of both worlds to provide premium high protein products for all to enjoy. It's Lifestyle eating made easy. It's a Breese.

Our Biltong story started 400 years ago when Dutch settlers landed in the Cape of Good Hope (now Cape Town), and needed a way to cure and store meat for later consumption. Pronounced “Bil” “Tong” which is derived from “Rump” “Strip”, as it is made from a strip of rump meat (in this case beef), Biltong became a popular way of curing, storing and enjoying meat. Today it is enjoyed by millions in

Southern Africa and all over the world.

All of our Beef products are made with the highest quality Canadian Beef, hand cut by our master butchers, spiced to perfection with our unique mix of coriander, salt, pepper and vinegar, and slow dried for 3-8 days depending on the product.
